Service Date:Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday March 9 at St. Paul Lutheran Church. Rev. Nathan Feig will officiate. Visitation will be held from 9:30 - 11:00 Saturday, before the services at the church. Burial will be at Clayton Township Cemetery in Benson.

 

Dale Weber

Benson - Dale E. Weber, 83, of Benson, IL passed away at 1:42 am on Tuesday March 5, 2013 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

He was born on June 1, 1929 in Benson, IL to John E. and Elizabeth Koch Weber.  He married Velma Roberts on February 17, 1952 in Benson, IL.  She survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Dan (Kristie) Weber of Minonk, IL; Randal (Shari) Weber of Metamora, IL; one brother, John Weber of Roanoke; four sisters, Joan (Delmar) Kolb of Benson; Joyce (Howard) Grafelman of Benson; Ruth (Ethan) Fish of Milbank, S.D.; Barbara (Dale) Hostetler of Benson; four grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one grandson, Nathan Weber.

Dale was an electrician by trade, working in the area for 30 years before he retired in 1995.  He was a 48 year member of the IBEW Local #34 in Peoria.

He was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Benson where he has served in the past on the church board.  He had also served on the Benson Village Board for 16 years and had been a member of the Benson Fire Department for 42 years.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday March 9th at St. Paul Lutheran Church.  Rev. Nathan Feig will officiate.  Visitation will be held from 9:30 - 11:00 Saturday, before the services at the church.  Burial will be at Clayton Township Cemetery in Benson.  Knapp-Johnson-Harris Funeral Home in Roanoke is in charge of the arrangements.
