I will forever remember my musical experience a few years back when I was asked to play the drums for the Sherry's performance of "Branson in Eureka", at the Maple Lawn Homes. I had a warm feeling about your entire family and not just from a musical standpoint. I felt a warmness existing between all of your family . And …you could not have treated me better. I could tell Floyd was proud of all of you; both as persons and also of your musical abilities. I still tell people how much fun I had and how proud I was that Floyd sought me out to perform with you. I truly enjoyed it. I rank it as one of my top five musical experiences. Be proud of your heritage. From where I sit, Floyd and Virginia orchestrated a great family. God bless you all and accept my sympathy on your loss.

Virginia and family, Floyd was a great friend and even father figure during our time in Eureka. We had a great time on the softball field together, working together on church events, etc. He was an important source of wisdom and sage advice in our early years of raising children and facing life issues. Such a positive and friendly person, he was always so very supportive and willing to give of himself. We will miss him greatly! Kip and Peg
