Julius F. Folkerts
Benson- Julius F. Folkerts, 77, of Benson, IL passed away at
11:10 pm on Wednesday, December 7, 2011 at OSF St. Francis Medical
Center in Peoria, IL.
He was born on March 9, 1934 in Benson, IL a son of Julius B.
and Marie deFreese Folkerts. He married Marjorie Knack on June 19,
1960 in Flanagan, IL. She survives.
Also surviving are one son, Roger (Yvonne) Folkerts of Roanoke,
IL; one daughter, Dorinda Folkerts (Tim Wehrmann) of Benson, IL;
two granddaughters, Nina and Kelli Folkerts; and one sister, Doris
(Gerald) Rients of Flanagan, IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Julius had worked as a farmer all of his life in the Benson
area.
He was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Minonk
where funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, December
12, 2011. Pastors Charles Buegel and Ed Sinclair will officiate.
Visitation will be held from 3-5 pm on Sunday at Ruestman-Harris
Funeral Home in Minonk and one hour before the service on Monday at
the church. Burial will be in Minonk Township Cemetery.
