I am so very sad. You were an amazing friend to me during my time at Lockhart and after. I will never forget the laughter, the afternoons of playing pool (which I frequently lost), watching movies and our long talks about life, love and dreams. Your smile, kindness and spirit I will keep close to me always. Be at peace and rest. I will miss you.

We are so sorry for the loss of Karen. I loved talking with, or more to the point, listening to Karen's wonderful stories. I always said that if Karen had been a teacher of mine, I would have learned much, much more. She made history, etc. sound fun. A rare talent indeed. She will be missed.

What an incredible lady. Karen had this unique ability to create a bond with each person she touched, and make their relationship 'special'. I'll never forget the days, and weeks, and years of joy she brought to Deb and the rest of our family. I'm so glad she's out of pain. Be at peace Karen. You'll always be a part of our hearts.

We will miss you "Aunt Karen"... Your kind, quiet, behind the scenes, way of making sure everybody was happy, without drawing attention to yourself, is a one of a kind gift. I know my entire family will have a hole in their heart becauase we had to give you up too soon. Thank you for what you did for all of us. :)

Karen was a great, kind, and hilarious woman who I was extremely grateful to know. I have many great memories of her. She brought so much happiness to my Aunt Debbie. Even though I would go years without seeing her, she had a unique ability of making me feel like it had only been a few short weeks. Though we weren't related by blood, she was definitely family. I'll miss you Aunt Karen, and your tan fringe jacket will be put to good use :)
