We are truly saddened with Uncle Sam's passing. There have been many good memories that we will cherish when visiting in Eureka. All five of us (brothers) had several occassions to sit with Uncle Sam in his pew at church - and he was beaming with his infectious smile. I had the pleasure of spending some time with them last summer. As always, Uncle Sam was kind and very sharp with names and history of what went on in his world. May God comfort and bless Aunt Gladys and the family. Warren & Nancy Kercher (nephew - Margaret Kercher side)

I'm very sorry to hear of Sam's passing. My dad, Elmer Grebner, really enjoyed having Sam to talk with about draft horses. He was one of the last who still enjoyed and knew that way of life/work. I remember for my husband and my wedding he helped get dad's team and carriage ready, drove them down to our church and had them waiting when the service was over so that dad and my brother could take us away in style. I will always appreciate his help in making that day even more memorable for us. My prayers are with your family.
