A. Maxine Scarbeary

May 11, 1923 — January 25, 2014

Normal - A. Maxine Scarbeary, 90,
of Normal, passed away at 12:25 p.m. on Saturday, January 25, 2014
at Heritage Health in Normal.

Maxine was born on May 11, 1923, a
daughter to Willie D. and Leila A. McKeown Ralston in
Lexington.  She married Daniel Scarbeary on April 17, 1948 at
United Brethren Church in Bloomington.  He preceded her in
death on October 26, 1994.

She is survived by three sons,
Terry Scarbeary, Montgomery, Larry Scarbeary, Bloomington, Rev.
Bruce (Brenda) Scarbeary, Roanoke; five grandchildren, Paul
(Melissa) Scarbeary, Melbourne, FL, Clare Scarbeary, Elgin, Joshua
Scarbeary, Roanoke, Amber Scarbeary, Roanoke, Timothy Scarbeary,
Roanoke; and a Great Granddaughter, Lucy Scarbeary, Melbourne,
FL.

In addition to her husband, Daniel,
she was preceded in death by a son, Gary; and a sister, Mardell
(Wayne) Zook.

Maxine graduated from Lexington
High School.  She worked for Admiral Television and Montgomery
Wards Catalog Department for several years.  She worked at
State Farm Insurance retiring after 26 years.

She was a member of Trinity
Lutheran Church and the Dorcas Society at church.

Maxine enjoyed sewing, quilting and
traveling with her good friend, Marie.

A funeral service will be held at
11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 30, 2014 at Trinity Lutheran Church
in Bloomington with Pastor Chris Nitzel officiating.
Visitation will be from 9:30-11:00 a.m. prior to the service at the
church on Thursday.  Kibler-Brady-Ruestman Memorial Home in
Bloomington is assisting the family with arrangements.

Interment will be at Park Hill
Cemetery in Bloomington.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be
directed to Trinity Lutheran Church and the Dorcas Society at her
church.

The family would like to thank
Heritage Health Legacy Unit for the wonderful care of
Maxine.
