April R. Murphy

April Renee Murphy, 40, of Lacon Illinois, died on February 23, 2023 at OSF St. Francis Healthcare in Peoria. She was born on June 4, 1982 in Peoria Illinois and raised by Fred C and Jill (Keyoth) Murphy.

April loved her family and all the family get togethers. Her boys were her life. She was so proud of them. She had a heart of gold that was larger than life itself and would help anyone that needed help. She had health issues, but that never stopped her from doing things for others. She worked at Ace Hardware distribution Center in Princeton until her health had to come first. April loved the outdoors, feeding the squirrels, birds and any animal that was hungry. She loved her pets dearly, her childhood dog Bubba and her recent support dog peanut. Our beautiful daughter and wonderful mother will no doubt be missed. She was truly loved and treasure by her family and friends.

April was able to give the gift of life to those in need through organ and tissue donation with the Gift of Hope, which will help others live on.

She is survived by her parents Fred and Jill Murphy of Sparland; sons Ryan Murphy and Mason Tadlock both of Lacon; grandmother TJ Buck of Chillicothe; aunts Pam (Don) Starnes of Chillicothe, Lisa Nichols of Carman Illinois; niece Abby Wilkinson of Lacon and her new baby Landon Mooberry; cousin Jason (Amanda) Rankin of Carman and her wonderful best friend Jesse Herring. She was preceded in death by her grandfather Leroy Buck; sister Tiffini M. Murphy and uncle Tim Nichols.

Cremation Rites have been accorded and a visitation will be held on Saturday March 4 from 12- 2pm at Lenz Memorial Home in Lacon. A private family burial will be in the Lacon Cemetery at a later date. Memorial contributions can be made to Gift of Hope and online Condolences can be left at lenzmemorialhome.com.
