Arlene Adolphson, 90, of Henry, died on February 24, 2020 at her residence. Born in Granville to the late Ervin & Bertha Strock Grossenbach, she married Virgil Adolphson on December 4, 1948 in Peru. Virgil died on May 5, 2017.
Arlene'faith in God was shown by her active membership at First Evangelical Lutheran church in Varna. She was a homemaker and did local factory work at Westclox & Harper Wyman, cooking for the kids at the Henry Grade School and typesetting at M&D Printing. Upon retirement she loved to garden, embroider, quilt, crochet, create ceramics, and bake. Most of all she loved supporting and caring for her family.
Arlene is survived by her daughters Lorraine Easton of Dunlap & Marilyn Duitsman of Henry, son Kevin (Sheri) Adolphson of Sun City West AZ, sister Shirley White of Arvada CO, eight grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
Funeral service for Arlene will be held Friday, February 28 at 11 AM at the First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Varna with Pastor Richard Joyce officiating. Visitation will be held one-hour prior at the church, burial will be in Granville Cemetery and memorial contributions can be made to her church. Online condolences can be left at lenzmemorialhome.com
