Gridley- Carol E. Sutton, 81, of Gridley, IL passed away at
12:20 p.m. onTuesday, April 9, 2013 at Heritage Health Care, El
Paso.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 12, 2013
atRuestman-Harris Funeral Home, El Paso. Rev. John Libert and Rev.
JosephCronenberg will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen
Cemetery, El Paso.Visitation will be on Thursday from 4 to 8 pm at
Ruestman-HarrisFuneral Home, El Paso.
Carol was born on November 8, 1931 at Highland, Illinois a
daughter ofParmer L. and Lalah M. Augustus Ewing. She married John
Redmore Suttonon November 25, 1952. He survives.
Other survivors include her children; Terry (Dave) Hart,
Louisville, KY, Sharon (Terry) Faber,Arlington Heights, Illinois,
Mary (Bob) Earl, Houston, TX and John (Judy) Sutton, Sleepy Hollow,
Illinois;9 grandchildren, Michael (Erica) Hart, Staci (Brad) Eiben,
Kristen (Jonathan) Smither, Laura Faber, David Faber,
Elizabeth Earl, Abby Earl, Jackie Sutton and Madeline Sutton;
and 4 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister.
She was a devoted wife and mother and a great and fun loving
friend. Carol was a loyal Illini fan and enjoyed reading and
sewing.Carol was a member of Good Shepherd Community Church, El
Paso, a graduate of Rockford East High SchoolClass of 1949, a
graduate of University of Illinois with her bachelor's degree in
1953, she was a member of theKappa Delta Sorority initiated on
February 2, 1950, the U of I Alumni Association, the DAR Letitia
GreenStevenson Chapter and a member of the El Paso Golf Club.
