Catherine W. Moore

Bloomington-Catherine W. Moore, 72,
of Bloomington departed this life on Friday, December 20, 2013 at
her home in Bloomington. Her funeral services will be at
Kibler-Brady-Ruestman Memorial Home in Bloomington at 10:30 a.m. on
Friday, December 27, 2013 with Minister Robert
Grimes officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the
service at the funeral home. Interment will be at Mound Grove
Gardens of Memory in Kankakee, Illinois. Memorials may be made to
the St. Joseph Medical Center Hospice and the family in Catherine's
name.

Catherine was born September 02,
1941 in Memphis, Tennessee to the union of Walter Dack and Velma
Whitelow Johnson. She married C.W. Moore in Memphis, Tennessee. He
survives.

In addition to her husband,
Catherine is survived by her daughter, Carlotta B. Moore of Normal;
three brothers, James D. Johnson of Memphis, Tennessee; Arthur
Johnson of Memphis, Tennessee; Henry Grandberry of Chicago; and one
sister, Corine Burke of Bloomington.

She was preceded in death by her
mother and father, one sister, Loretta Whitelow; and one brother,
Lawrence Grandberry.

Catherine belonged to a Baptist
Church in Memphis, Tennessee before moving to Kankakee, Illinois to
adopt Carlotta B. Moore. Out of high school Catherine found work as
a CNA; she also worked in retail and cooked in various restaurants.
Catherine enjoyed cooking, playing cards, and entertaining for
guests in her home. The family would like to thank her caregiver at
the YWCA, Irma Jackson, for her compassion and assistance.
Catherine was deeply loved by her family and will be sorely
missed.
