Chester E. Russell, 93, of Henry, passed away on June 24, 2018 at his residence. Born in La Prairie Township on August 4, 1924 to the late Charles and Bertha Redding Russell, he married Nancy Heininger in Henry on August 11, 1956. Nancy died August 17, 2010.
Chet is survived by his sons Robert Russell of McNabb, & Raymond (Meredith) Russell of Norwich KS and grandchildren Rachel Russell of McNabb & Victoria Russell of Wichita KS. He was also preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
Chet was a Carpenter in the Henry area most of his life and work for many different people and places Caterpillar, B.F. Goodrich, and Leo's Autobody. He was also the sexton for the Henry Cemetery for over 10 years. Chet was an avid collector of clocks and enjoyed things of yesteryear.
Services will be held on Saturday, June 30 at 11 o'clock at Lenz Memorial home in Lacon with visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in the Henry Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please donate to the MSW Senior Meal Program and online condolences can be left at lenzmemorialhome.com
