Clay Allen Rebholz, 31, of Lacon passed away on Sunday, August 5th, 2018.
Clay was born on June 10th, 1987 in Peoria to Danny & Julie Kenyon Rebholz of Lacon. They survive. Also surviving are brother Cody Rebholz of Lacon; grandparents Pat Guede of Lacon, Walter "Deke" Guede of Chillicothe; two aunts Rhonda Kenyon of Lacon and Jane (Jeff) King of Chillicothe; two uncles Steve (Bev) Rebholz of Sparland, Jim (Melody) Rebholz of Norwood; as well as many cousins. His beloved cat Timber also survives.
He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Clarence & Ruby Peugh Rebholz and his uncle, Roger Rebholz.
Clay graduated Midland High School in 2005. He went on to work at Danny's Auto Repair in Lacon for 15 years alongside his father, brother and cousin Roger. He was a talented musician where he enjoyed jamming with friends and/or strumming his guitar with family. He played drums, guitar, banjo, and harmonica. He also loved the outdoors where he spent much of his free time fishing, hunting and camping. Clay vacationed by going to see live music concerts and festivals as he made many friends from all over the United States.
"Claybird" will be remembered for many qualities, but his willingness to always lend a helping hand to whomever asked, as well as his contagious laugh, will be dearly missed by all his family and friends.
Cremation rights have been accorded and a memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 11 at 11 AM at Calvary Bible Church in Lacon with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Memorials May be made to Calvary Bible Church and online tributes & condolences may be left at lenzmemorialhome.com
