Dale Fredrick Gallamore

Dale Frederick Gallamore, 63, of rural Lacon Illinois, formerly Morton Illinois, died on July 8, 2023 at Loyola Medical Center in Chicago. Born at Fort Wainwright in Alaska on January 10, 1960 to Dale Eugene and Connie (Gratz) Gallamore, he became a heavy equipment operator in Operating Engineers Local #649 for over 25 years. He then was owner /operator with his partner Samantha Hovis in the food truck Sam’s Chicago style hotdogs.

Dale loved riding his motorcycle and going on little adventures with Samantha to take the boys to haunted houses or rollercoasters. Keeping the home in the country looking good, things repaired, and turning time into money was his favorite things to do.

Dale is survived by his mother Connie of Morton; sister Sherry Smith of Quincy Illinois; stepchildren Nick (Melissa) Keith of Florida, Kate Keith of Florida, Bobby (Patty) Keith of East Peoria, Barrett Austin of Lacon, Isaac Major of Lacon, Aiden Major of Lacon; and eight grandchildren. Dale was preceded in death by his father.

Cremation rites have been accorded and a memorial service will be held on Wednesday July 19th 2023 at 6 PM at Lenz Memorial Home in Lacon with visitation held two hours prior to the service from 4-6pm.
