Dolores Papiez

Dolores V. Papiez, formerly of Lake Wildwood Varna, died on June 6, 2016 at Salem Village Nursing Home in Joliet.

Born on September 7, 1930 in Harvey, IL to the late Steven and Stella Siorek Slowik, she married Frank L. Papiez on September 9, 1950 in Harvey. Frank passed away on February 16, 2009.

She was a wife, mother, and a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Wenona.

Surviving are her daughter Alice (Edward) Wicherek of New Lenox, IL; grandchildren Allyson Wicherek of New Lenox and Mark Wicherek of Chicago; sisters Phyllis (Chester) Weber of Varna; and Valerie (Robert) Caneer of Paducah, KY.

She was also preceded in death by her son Dr. Leonard Papiez.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on June 10 at 11 am at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Wenona with visitation one hour prior. The Franciscan Friars will be officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery.
