Donald L. McCuskey

Donald L. McCuskey, 78, of Lacon Illinois, died on June 25, 2022 at his residence. Born in Peoria on February 19, 1944 to the late Emory and Eleanor (Gooddale) McCuskey, he married Norma Staab Wier on August 6, 1967 in Bloomington Illinois.

Don graduated from the DeVry Technical Institute in 1964 and went to work for caterpillar for 36 years in the processing /IT Department. Retiring in 2001. He also loved to golf, and was a member & past President of the Lacon Country Club. Don was a Mason and Shriner for over 50 years.

Don is survived by his wife Norma of Lacon; stepson Mark (Barb) Wier of Coal Valley Illinois; grandsons Logan (Marissa) and Erik Wier; great grandchild Oliver; and several nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his twin brother Ron.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 29 from 5 to 7 PM at Lenz Memorial Home in Lacon with graveside services on Thursday, June 30 at 10 AM at the Lacon Cemetery. Memorials can be made in Don’s name to the Lacon Sparland Ambulance and online condolences can be left at lenzmemorialhome.com
