Dora Oary

Dora D. Oary, 78, of Lacon, formerly Washington and Varna, died at Lacon Rehab and Nursing on June 9, 2021. Born in Peoria on August 31, 1942 to the late William and Alta (Scudder) Allen, she married Roy Auvil and had three children. Dora later married Fred Oary Sr on May 26, 1968 in Bartonville. Fred died in 2005.

Dora is survived by her children Roy (Julie) Auvil of Hanna city, Rick (Becky) Auvil of Bartonville, Crystal (Chester Sr.) Jones of Peoria, DeWayne (Cathy) Oary of Joplin Mo., Cherie (Neil) Bischler of Varna; sister Grace Bill of Washington; eight grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by six brothers and one sister.

Funeral services will be held for Dora on Saturday, June 19 at 11am at River of Life church in Henry, with visitation one hour prior. Cremation rites will be accorded and burial of ashes will be at a later date. Memorials can be made to The Ark animal shelter and online condolences can be left at lenzmemorialhome.com
