Gridley- Eleanor L. Rinkenberger 95 of Gridley passed away at
4:30 p.m.
on Wednesday April 17, 2013 at Meadows Mennonite Home, rural
Chenoa.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 20, 2013
at
First United Church, Gridley. Rev. Andy Huette will officiate.
Burial
will be in Gridley Cemetery. Visitation will be on Saturday from
9:00
a.m. until time of services at First United Church, Gridley.

Eleanor was born July 5, 1917 at Panola a daughter of Roy and
Isa
Kingdon Kingdon. She married Glenn J. Rinkenberger on June 8,
1938 in
Bloomington. He died September 23, 2007.
Survivors include 3 daughters, Carolyn (Tom) Stephens, Forrest,
Linda
Brucker, Bloomington and Kathy (Tom) Hany, Gridley; 1 sister,
Marjorie
Letsinger, Keithsville, LA; 6 grandchildren, Diane (Ken) Toman,
Lisa
(Kevin) Edelman, Mark Hardman, Lori Hardman, Matt Hany and
Jason
(Becky) Hany; 7 great grandchildren and 3 great
great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter Evelyn Hardman.
Eleanor was an active member at First United Church, Gridley,
Home
Extension, Senior Citizens Club, and volunteered at Meadows
Retirement
Home and Spare and Share. She had worked at the local restaurant
and
was a bookkeeper for her husband's business.
