Emma Raguet

Emma E. Raguet, 101, passed away April 7, 2018 at Bickford of Peoria. She was born August 19, 1916 in Havana, Illinois to the late August W. and Catherine E. (Bryant) Oest. Emma married Ellwood Wilson Raguet June 24, 1937 at the Havana Baptist Church parsonage. They were married 46 years on June 24, 1983. Ellwood passed away August 26, 1983.
Emma is survived by son, Richard (Nancy) of Peoria, daughter, (Susie) Sharon (James) Baker of Raleigh NC, sisters Katherine Oest and Clarice Oest of Havana IL, granddaughters: Rachel Baker of Washington DC, Michelle (Mark) Lynch of Ireland, Melissa (Rob) Raguet-Schofield of Fort Collins CO, and great-grandchildren Logan, MacKenna, & William. She was also preceeded in death by brothers; Wilber, Raymond, August (Gus); sisters Verniece Wallace & Pauline Hackman, and one great-grandchild Jackson Lynch.

Emma was employed by Lacon Woolen Mill for 30 years. After living in Sparland for 59 years, Emma moved to Chillicothe, IL. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Chillicothe.
Funeral services will be held on Friday April 13 at 11am at Lenz Memorial Home in Lacon with a visitation one hour prior to service at 10am. Burial will be in Lacon Cemetery and memorials may be made to Calvary Baptist Church of Chillicothe.
