Lacon- Florence M. Ford, 85, of Lacon, IL passed away at 11:10 am
on Sunday, May 19, 2013 at St. Joseph Nursing Home in Lacon,
IL.



She was born on May 15, 1928 in Washburn, IL the daughter of James
and Alice Thorneycroft Harmon.  She married Harry Carmichael
on December 23, 1946 in St. Louis, MO.  He passed away on
February 15, 1972.  She then married Ernie Ford on October 20,
1979 in Lacon, IL.  He passed away on January 20, 1991.



Surviving are two sons, James (Connie Jenkins) Carmichael of
Varna, IL; Steve (Noni) Carmichael of Garfield, AR; one step-son,
Charles (Brenda) Carmichael of Hampton, IL; two daughters, Cheryle
(Jerry) Wood of Sparland, IL; Sandra Hufnagel of Chillicothe, IL;
ten grandchildren, eleven step-grandchildren, twelve
great-grandchildren, and six step great-grandchildren.



She was preceded in death by six brothers, three sisters, one
step-daughter Nancy Williams, and one step-son Richard
Carmichael.



She was a member of the American Legion Post 593 Women's Auxiliary
where she had served as past
president.



Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, May 23,
2013 at the Lenz Memorial Home in Lacon.  Deacon Robert Murphy
will officiate.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the
service.  Burial will be in Old Salem Cemetery in rural
Washburn, IL. Memorial contributions may be made to the American
