Jeanette Frye

Jeanette E. Frye, 72, of Henry died at OSF St. Francis Medical Center on July 1, 2015. Born in Corpus Christi, Texas on July 19, 1942 to the late Fred and Ruby Vannoy Corkill, she married Irving Gallant and had five children. Irving passed in 1999 and she then married David Frye in Sparland on May 26, 2002. He survives.

Jeanette was a nurse for over 30 years retiring in 1986 to care for Irving. Later she cooked at local diners such as Victoria's in Lacon and Dockside and Track Inn in Chillicothe.

She is also survived by: her daughters Elaine (Rick) Townsend of Wellington, KS; Mary (Howard) Baggs of Sparland; sons Jack (Tammy) Gallant of Renfro, OK; Junior Gallant, Dale (Kim) Gallant of Chillicothe; brother Fred Corkill of Corpus Christi, TX; sister Bernice (Bill) Simmons of Kremlin, OK; 14 grandchildren; and 18 great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by one brother, one sister, and grandchild Natasha Gallant.

Cremation rites have been accorded and a memorial service will be held on Monday, July 6 at 2 pm at Lenz Memorial Home in Lacon with a visitation one hour prior. Craig Smith will officiate. Burial of ashes will be in the Henry Cemetery. Memorials can be made to the Henry Ambulance. Online condolences can be left at lenzmemorialhome.com.
