Jeffery R. McGowan, 75, of Lacon Ill., died on July 29, 2020, at Lacon Rehab & Nursing in Lacon. Born in Pocatello, Idaho on June 9, 1945 to the late Raymond and Rose (Valenzuela) McGowan. He married Judy Gentry on September 14, 1969. Judy passed away on June 11, 2000 Jeffery was a minister for the Worldwide Church of God until his retirement. He loved volunteering at St. Joseph's Nursing Home.
Jeffery is survived by his son Nathan (Sasoon) McGowan of California; daughter Monica (Dustin) Register of Florida; brother Milton "Scott" McGowan of California; and sisters Cindy (Robert) Kelleher of Carmichael, California & LeAnn (Jerry Schweitzer) McGowan of Oregon; and four grandchildren.
Cremation rites have been accorded and an inurnment of cremated remains will be at a later date in California. Memorials may be made to the Lacon Rehab activity fund. Online condolences can be left for the family at lenzmemorialhome.com.
