Jimmy P. Jones

Normal - Jimmy Paul Jones, 75, of Bloomington, passed away at
5:50 a.m. on May 09, 2014 at Mclean County Nursing Home in
Normal.

Jimmy was born September 08, 1938
in McCrory, Arkansas a son to Clyde and Ivy Sanders Jones. He
married Annie Foster in 1959 and later married Carol Davis in 2004.
Both survive.

He is survived by two daughters:
Paula K. Jones of Lincoln; Julie D. (James) Drake of Bloomington;
three brothers: Billy (Rheba) Jones of Bloomington; Kenneth (Mary)
Jones of Haines City, Florida; Cecil (Faye) Jones of Bloomington;
three sisters: Betty Renfro of Rantoul; Brenda (Gordon) Thoennes of
Danville; Carolyn Joy (Larry) Primeaux of Petal, Mississippi; and
many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his
parents and infant brother, Carrol.

Funeral services will be at
Kibler-Brady-Ruestman Memorial Home in Bloomington at 12:00 noon on
Saturday, May 17, 2014 with Pastor Ted Max officiating. A
visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service
at the funeral home. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial
Cemetery in Bloomington. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made
to the Central Illinois Downs Syndrome Association of Illinois or
the Humane Society of Central Illinois.

Jimmy served in the United States
Army at Fort Sill, Oklahoma and later retired from the Maintenance
Department at Illinois Wesleyan University. He was nominated
"Laborer of the Year" in 1986 by WJBC Radio. He was an active
member at Vale Community Church and loved to volunteer at Peace
Meal. Jimmy was a member of the Masonic Lodge #43 and held the
title of Grandmaster for one year. He will be deeply missed by
friends and family.

Jimmy's family would like to thank
Dr. Kumar, Dr. Ray, Dr. Stroink and his staff at Illinois Cancer
Care as well as his care givers and staff at McLean County Nursing
Home for their excellent care.
