Kathleen Nagel

Kathleen "Kay" Elizabeth Nagel, age 84, of Lacon, Illinois passed away peacefully January 13th, 2017 at St. Joseph's Nursing Home in Lacon with close family members by her side.

She was born June 3, 1932 in Chicago, Illinois to Anthony and Catherine (Menth) Vaccaro. She married Donald F. Nagel on August 3, 1955 in Crown Point, Indiana. He passed away on November 2, 1972 in Winfield, Illinois.

Surviving are her children, Dawn Rowcliff of Arizona, Toni Arnone of Sigel, Illinois; Don Nagel of Lacon, Donna (Jeff) Nichlson of Texas, Kim (Constance) Nagel of Lacon and Patricia (Doug) Schwiderski of Lostant, Illinois. One sister, Romona Vaccaro also survives. Kay was also blessed with 15 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

She loved nature and spent a lot of time working in her herb and flower gardens. Along with being a homemaker and mother she worked in California, Henry and Utica, Illinois.

Lenz Memorial Home has been entrusted with cremation rites. Private family services will be at a later date with her ashes returning to California per her wishes.
