Kevin D. Sager, 74, of Sparland IL, died on November 14, 2021 at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria. Born on April 24, 1947 to the late Myles and Alice (Blackwell) Sager, he married Martha Hollandsworth on January 25, 1969 in Chillicothe. Martha died on May 12, 2001.
For 30 years, Kevin worked at Mossville Caterpillar plant as an assembler on the line. His side job was K’s Little Prairie Stables and Zoo, a traveling petting zoo that he took to celebrations all over the area for over 40 years. He was a member of UAW9 74, Chillicothe Ranger’s Saddle Club, and a Poultry Improvement Tester for the state of Illinois. Kevin also served his country in the Army during Vietnam.
Kevin is survived by his son Brian (Tracy) Sager of Atlanta IL.; daughter Kara (Ryan) Watson of Peoria Heights; brothers Gary (Pat) Sager of Varna, Greg (Carmen) Blackwell of California; grandchildren Mariah, Caitlyn, and Brianna Sager, Ryleigh and Keighley Watson, Becca (Aaron) Buchheit of Atlanta IL, Gregory Amburgey of Atlanta IL, Jessica Fogle, Dakota Barton, Alyssa Barton, Dakota Phoenix, and Cole Phoenix.
Cremation rites have been accorded and a memorial visitation will be held Tuesday, November 30 at Lenz Memorial Home from 4 to 6 PM. Burial of ashes will be in the LaPrairie United Presbyterian Cemetery on Wednesday, December 1 at 10 AM. Memorials can be made to St. Jude and online condolences can be left at lenzmemorialhome.com
