Larry Jason

Larry Jason, 73, of Lacon Illinois, died on June 19, 2023 at Lacon Rehab and Nursing. Born in Peoria on June 30, 1949 to the late Edward and Hester (White) Jason, he married Karen Schupp Erkman on July 18, 1974. Karen passed away on April 9, 2023.

Larry was a veteran of the Army and worked at Caterpillar until he retired. He always enjoyed the outdoors and their many fishing trips. On any given day, you would see him out for a two-hour daily walk and no one was a stranger, he would visit with anyone.

Larry is survived by his daughters Michelle (Don) Bratt of Dunlap, Jamie Zimmerman of Sun City Arizona: brother Marvin (Deb) Jason of Chillicothe; sister Shirley Jason of Springfield IL; grandchildren Jason Larke of LaRose; Aletha (Clinton) Ewing of Peoria Arizona; Tyler Bratt of Oak Harbor Washington; Alexis Zimmerman of Los Angeles California; and two great grandchildren: Cameron and Bryson. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Jerry, Phillip, Rick, Edward, Keith; and sister Coleen.

Cremation rites have been accorded and there will be no services at this time. Burial will be in the Jason Cemetery at a later date. Online condolences can be left at lenzmemorialhome.com.
