Larry D. Racobs

Larry D. Racobs of Lacon Illinois, formerly San Antonio Texas. died on July 27, 2023 at OSF St. Joseph in Bloomington Illinois. Born on August 30, 1951 in Streator Illinois to the late James and Allene (Hail) Racobs, his family moved to San Antonio after the death of his father to be closer to his mother’s family. Larry worked at Piggly Wiggly Grocery through high school and into his early 20s until he became a bus driver for Via Met Transportation, the local bus system of San Antonio. As a member of Amalgamated Transit Union #694, Larry drove the buses throughout San Antonio for over 27 years. Making sure people got where they needed to be, until retiring in 2006. Larry eventually found his way up to Lacon to be closer to family again.

Larry is survived by one sister Lois Reynolds of Rancho Mirage California

Cremation rites have been accorded and Larry will be buried in the magnolia cemetery with his grandparents. Online condolences can be left at lenzmemorialhome.com.
