Michael Lavery

EUREKA- Michael J. Lavery, 88, of Congerville, IL passed away at
1:20 AM, on Monday March 3, 2014 at Maple Lawn Health Care Center
in Eureka.


He was born on June 02, 1925 in Limerick, Ireland a
son of John and Ellen Ward Lavery. He married Nora Curtin on May
20, 1950 in Ferguson, Mo. She survives.


Also surviving are his sons, Thomas Lavery,
Congerville; Mike Lavery, West Columbia, TX; and David Lavery,
Eureka; 6 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and daughter-in-law
Deborah Lavery, Metamora.


He was preceded in death by a son Pat Lavery in
2004; granddaughter, Trisha in 1999; and many brothers and
sisters.


Michael retired as a bus driver after 30 years of
service.


He belonged to the Limerick Hurling Club and the
Limerick Men's Club. He enjoyed gardening and curling. He also
played drums in a bag pipe band in years past.


Cremation has been accorded and burial of cremains
will be at a later date.
