Rachel Veaughn

Rachel E. Veaughn, 99, of Lacon, died on October 14, 2020 at Lacon Rehab and Nursing in Lacon. Born in Mc Donald, Kansas on January 9, 1921 to the late Oscar and Juanita (Frisby) Hill, she was married to Robert McCasky and later married Marion "Bub" Veaughn on April 3, 1965. Bub died November 10, 2011. She was also preceded in death by her daughter Sharon Reginald, four brothers, and one sister.
Rachel enjoyed spending time with her family and taking care of them. She especially loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Rachel was a longtime member of Chillicothe Christian Church.
Rachel is survived by her son-in-law Marvin Reginald of Sparland; grandson Todd (Roanna) Reginald of Chillicothe, granddaughter Lisa (Larry) Roop of Washburn; great granddaughter Samantha (Michael) Giugler of Sparland; and great grandson Matthew Roop of Washburn.
Funeral services for Rachel will be held Saturday, October 17 at 2 PM at Lenz Memorial Home in Lacon with visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in the Sparland Cemetery and memorial contributions can be made to Chillicothe Christian Church. Online condolences for Rachel‘s family can be left at lenzmemorialhome.com
