Richard Hartter

Eureka- Richard E. Hartter, 92, of Eureka, IL passed away at
1:10 pm on Monday, February 3, 2014 at OSF St. Francis Medical
Center in Peoria, IL.


He was born on September 26, 1921 in Eureka  a son of Daniel
and Magdalena Hamm Hartter.  He married Ella Irene Adams on
August 10, 1946 in Eureka.  She passed away on November 11,
1964.  He then married Verna Martin on January 18, 1967 in
Eureka.  She survives.


Also surviving are three daughters and two sons; Eddis (Dennis)
Blunier of Danvers, IL; Melvin (Elaine) Hartter of Eureka, IL;
Kenneth (Peggy) Hartter of Little Rock, AR; Lucy (Daryl) Blunier of
Goodfield, IL; Beth (Jerry) Gouge of Easton, IL; seventeen
grandchildren, and thirty-one great-grandchildren.


He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Russell Hartter;
seven sisters and one brother.


Richard had worked as a dairy farmer in the Eureka/Congerville
area.


He was a member of the Goodfield Apostolic Christian Church where
funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, February 7,
2014.  Church ministers will officiate. Visitation will be
held from 4-7 pm on Thursday evening at the Goodfield Apostolic
Christian Fellowship Hall and from 9-9:45 am on Friday at the
church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Argo-Ruestman-Harris
Funeral Home is assisting the family with their arrangements.
