Sparland- Ronald E. Clift, 70, of Sparland, IL passed away at 9:35
pm on Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center
in Peoria,
IL.


He was born on August 19, 1942 in Peoria, IL the son of the late
Clifford Clift and Lillian Autzen.  He married Carolyn June
Smith on August 25, 1963 in Pekin, IL.  She passed away on May
3, 2002.  He then married Adrianne Shultz on August 31, 2002
in Pontiac, IL.  She survives.


Also surviving are his children, Ron (Denise) Clift of Lacon, IL;
Daniel (Molly Strong) Clift of Sparland, IL; Jolene (Brian) Smith
of Sparland, IL; Nicholas (Jennifer) Wolsfeld of Henry, IL; Michael
Wolsfeld of Holland, MI; Sarah Wolsfeld of Ogelsby, IL; Becky
Stanley of Lacon, IL; and eighteen grandchildren.


Ronald farmed the family homestead in Sparland until 1983.
He started a career in construction and worked on the twin towers
in Peoria.  He later worked for Caterpillar, Inc. for 30 years
and for Gray Interplanetary for over 5 years.


He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion, Mason Lodge
119 in Henry, IL; a member of LST 325, and the UAW 974.


Memorial services will be held at 7:00 pm on Monday, March 18,
2013 at the Lenz Memorial Home in Lacon, IL.  Bob Murphy will
officiate.  Visitation will be held one prior to the service
on Monday at the funeral home.  Inurnment will be in Lacon
Cemetery at a later
date.


Memorial contributions may be made to the Lacon/Sparland Fire
Department or Illinois Cancer Care.  Online condolences may be
