Rosalla Downey

Rosalla “Rose” Downey, 67, of Lacon Illinois, died on November 30, 2021 at her home. Rose was born in Princeton Illinois on August 24, 1954 to the late Arthur and Bernadine (Appel) Kuhl, she married Charles Downey on February 7, 1981 in Henry. Charlie died on November 13, 2017.

Rose was first and foremost a lifelong farmer with her husband Charlie on their farm. She was also a CNA at St. Joseph Nursing Home in Lacon and was on the custodial staff for the Henry-Senachwine schools. She was also a member of the Marshall Putnam Antique Tractor Association, where she loved sitting by their restored tractors visiting with everyone that stopped by.

Rose is survived by her son Matthew Downey; brother Arthur (Marsha) Kuhl; nieces and nephews Rachel (Jacob) Lindberg, Joseph (Heather) Collins, Robert Collins, Nicholas (Tabitha) Kuhl, Alexander Kuhl and several great nieces and nephews.

Cremation rites have been accorded and there will be no services at this time. Rosalla be interred next to her husband Charles in the Calvary Cemetery in Henry at a later date. Memorial contributions can be made to the family and online condolences can be left at lenzmemorialhome.com
