Sharon R. Dalton

Sharon Rae Dalton, 70, of Tucson, died on January 23, 2023 at her home. Born on March 6, 1952 in Spokane Washington to the late Donald and Valeria (Schwarzrock) Peterson, she married Randy Dalton on June 26, 1971 in Wadena, Minnesota

Sharon attended Cosmetology School prior to her marriage to Randy and worked in hair salons on Guam after joining Randy, who was stationed there in the Navy. She also worked for Estée Lauder at the Navy Exchange. When they moved to California, she sold Mary Kay while doing hair from home for family and friends for over 15 years. Always keen on interior design, she kept her own home’s interior beautiful and helped friends redesign their homes interiors to suit them. A genuine green thumb of both inside and outside plants, flowers always abound in Sharon’s life. She also took pleasure in reading, especially self-improvement books.

Sharon was many things. Foremost to many was that she was an intense listener. Looked you in the eye and would ask you questions. She was kind, welcoming, uplifting and a beautiful soul.

Sharon is survived by her husband Randy of Tucson; sister Diane Peterson of Green Valley AZ; brothers Elroy (Bev) Peterson of Chula Vista CA, Bruce Peterson of Tucson, Brad (Cheryl) Peterson of Jerseyville IL, Craig Peterson of Green Valley AZ; and many many nieces & nephews.

Funeral services for Sharon will be held Wednesday February 1 at Lenz Memorial Home in Lacon at 2 PM. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service and burial will immediately follow in the Magnolia Cemetery.
