Shirley Songer

Shirley May Songer, 83, of Lacon, died on October 1, 2019 at her residence. Born in Magnolia Township Illinois on January 20, 1936 to the late Wilbur and Johanna Marliere Holocker, she married Don Songer on April 16, 1965 in Ottawa. Don passed away January 23, 1997. Shirley worked at the Mendota Trouser Factory for 14 years and over 10 years at CTS industries creating crystals for electronics.
Shirley is survived by her sons Roger (Suzy) Greathouse of Oklahoma City Oklahoma, Joe (Sandra Sandoval) Great house of Peru; grandson JoeDon Greathouse of Lutherville Maryland; and sister Darlene Johnson of Mendota. She was also preceded in death by: three brothers Alfred, Gilbert, & Albert Holocker and one sister Hazel Johnson.
Funeral services for Shirley will be held at Lenz Memorial Home on Saturday, October 5 at 11 o'clock with a visitation time one hour prior to service. Burial will be in the Granville Cemetery and memorials can be made to the St. Joseph's Activity Fund. Online condolences can be left at lenzmemorialhome.com
