Stella Mae Barrington

Normal - Stella Mae Barrington, 88,
of Normal, died at 8:05 p.m. on Wednesday, October 9, 2013 at
McLean County Nursing Home in Normal.

Funeral services will be at 3:00
p.m. on Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at Kibler-Brady-Ruestman Memorial
Home in Bloomington with Roxana White officiating.  Visitation
will be from 1-3:00 p.m. prior to the service at the memorial
home.  Interment will be at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October,
16, 2013 at Lind Center Cemetery in Waupaca, WI.  In lieu of
flowers, memorial donations may be made to an organization of the
donor's choice. Kibler-Brady-Ruestman Memorial Home in Bloomington
is assisting the family with arrangements.

Stella was born March 17, 1925 in
Wild Rose, WI,  a daughter of Arnold and Alma Nelson
Christiansen.  She married Howard L. Barrington on June 24,
1942 in Waupaca, WI, after 54 years of marriage, he preceded her in
death in 1998.

She was preceded in death by her
husband, parents, an infant son and nine siblings.

She is survived by son, Dennis
(Nancy) Barrington of Lake Ozark, MO; daughter, Roxana (Ronald)
White of Flat Rock, NC; and daughter Debbie (Chuck) Martin of
Stoney Creek, NC; four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and
many nieces and nephews.

For more than 60 years she has made
Normal, Illinois her home. During this time, she worked as a
waitress at local restaurants, but the focus of her life was always
family and friends. In retirement she continued to enjoy family get
togethers, bridge games, crocheting, trips to Las Vegas or Peoria
to play the slot machines, and family reunions in Waupaca,
Wisconsin.
