Vicki Joet Lockhart, 67, of Centralia, Illinois, formerly Sparland, passed away on August 28, 2020 in her Home surrounded by her loving family. Born August 14, 1953 in Peoria to the late Joseph and Velma Young Cole, she married Orland Lockhart on July 5, 1991 in Moline.
Vicki graduated from East Peoria High School in 1972 and Stevens Institute of hair design soon after. She worked many jobs through her years with her last job being an inspector at Caterpillar. Vicki loved her husband Orland and he loved her, they had a wonderful relationship. He took the best care of her through her life and while she was sick. She couldn't have asked for a better husband or person to take care of her. Sometimes they would just take off for the day on the motorcycle with no plans and end up in Tennessee, go to Walmart and get what they need to stay for the night. They were so lucky to have found each other. She went fishing, camping, tubing on the boat, and had bonfires with her boys. She was very close with her sister Sue and her two cousins Chris & Connie, they were all more like sisters than cousins. They had lots of fun together at their grandma's house playing in the basement. They also had fun "Trilling" with their aunt Kay. Trilling is spinning around in a new dress showing it off. They liked to showing off whatever they had on. As the family grew they added another sister, Kathi, a brother Tim and more cousins to the mix. They had a big group. Some of the get-togethers were up to 40 family members when everyone brought their husbands. They continued having cousin get-together's through the end of her life. she also enjoyed swimming, traveling, Branson, RV camping, boating, rodeos, & motorcycles, but most of all spending time with her husband, friends, and family. Vicki knew how to have a good time and always had a smile on her face. She could slam a Pepsi faster than anyone.
Vicky is survived by: her husband Orland of Centralia; sons Daniel (Janice) Coons of East Peoria & Joseph (Bridgett) Lockhart of Centralia; stepfather Lee Turner of East Peoria; sisters Suzie (Jerry) Whitney of Pekin, & Kathi (Rod) Simpson of East Peoria; brother Tim (Michelle) Cole of Kentucky; Stepbrothers Neil (Margi) Turner of Michigan & Dan (Nancy) Turner of Lincoln Illinois; grandchildren Hannah, Jaden, & Damien; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was also preceded in death by her son Michael Coons, sister Valerie Cole, brothers Michael & Thomas Cole and step brother Alan Turner.
