Viola Fitschen

Viola M. Fitschen, 95, of Lacon, died on January 29, 2019 at St. Joseph Nursing Home in Lacon. Born in Lacon on December 31, 1923 to the late William and Ella Snyder Conarro, she married Harold Swanson in 19 40 in Lacon. Harold passed away in 1963. she then married William Fitschen in 1966 in Henry. Bill passed away in 1982.
Viola spent her days raising her children and working part time at local businesses, such as Loy's 5&10 and Bailey's Hardware, as a clerk.
Viola is survived by her daughter Bonnie (Arnold) Villager of Henry, son Dale (Sharon) Swanson of East Peoria, grandchildren Joe Villager of Henry & Laura Stetson of Carol Stream, and great grandchildren Julie and Steve. She was preceded in death by three brothers, two sisters and daughter Joanne Check.
Graveside services will be held February 6 at 1 PM at the Lacon Cemetery with Bob Murphy officiating. Memorials can be left to the Saint Joseph's Activity Fund and online condolences can be left at lenzmemorialhome.com
