William L. "Bill" Baggs, 77, of Henry, Ill., died on Thursday, October 8, 2020, at UnityPoint Methodist in Peoria.
Bill was born on August 23, 1943, in Chillicothe, to the late Lester and Helen (Claire) Baggs. He married Sharon Crank on August 23, 1964 in Lacon. Sharon passed away on September 14, 2014. He was also preceded by his grandchild Robert Fuchs.
Bill is survived by his two sons, Tim (Lori) Baggs of Wenona, Ill. and Ron (Christie Kreft) Baggs of Ladd, Ill.; daughter, Rhonda Baggs of Lacon; sisters Sandra Mannon and Stella Marliere both of Missouri, and Sue (Dennis) Persinger of Henry; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Bill worked at WR Grace for over 25 years where he retired as shipping supervisor. He loved to fish, hunt, and camp with his family and friends.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial service will be held for Bill at 11am. on Saturday, October 17, 2020 at Lenz Memorial Home in Lacon. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Henry Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
